Here’s a quick breakdown of the types of materials we install—and when they’re right for the job:

• Composition Shingles: The go-to for most homes. Affordable, tough, and come in lots of colors. Great for Bakersfield weather.
• Tile Roofing (Concrete & Clay): A durable option with long life. Clay tiles are pricier but hold up well in heat. Tiles are heavier, so we always check the structure before installation.
• TPO (Single-Ply): Great for flat roofs and commercial properties. Reflects heat, saves energy, and resists leaks.
• SRM Coating: Used on flat roofs to seal, reflect, and protect. Think of it as a topcoat that keeps things watertight and energy-efficient.
• Slate Shingles: Beautiful and long-lasting but heavy and expensive. Rare in Bakersfield, but we can source it.
• Wood Shake: Outdated, high maintenance, and a fire risk. We don’t recommend it in California.
• Metal Roofing: Durable and fire-resistant. Popular for modern homes and businesses. Comes in standing seam or ribbed panel styles

• Underlayment: This waterproof layer goes between your shingles and your roof deck. It’s your last line of defense.
• Starter Strips & Ridge Caps: These help protect the edges and peaks of your roof from wind and water.
• Ventilation: Good airflow in your attic helps prevent mold, extend shingle life, and lower your energy bills.
• Flashing: Thin metal placed around pipes, chimneys, and roof edges to stop water from sneaking in.
• Drip Edge: Keeps water from getting behind your fascia board.
